Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz hosted a Canadian beef barbecue at Shanghai World Expo 2010 with Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada in celebration of Canada and China's strong trade relationship. Also on hand to serve up the first Canadian beef in China in seven years were Canada's Commissioner General for Expo 2010 Mark Rowswell - a famous media personality in China - and CBEF Board Chair Gib Drury.

WORLD MEAT CONGRESS 2010

THE WORLD MEAT CONGRESS 2010 WILL BE HELD IN ARGENTINA

For the second time in its history, the venue for the World Meat Congress will be the Argentine Republic. The biannual event organized by the International Meat Secretariat summons the main beef, and ovine and pork meat producers.

Between September 26 and 29, 2010, the Argentine Republic will be the venue for the 18th World Meat Congress, which is organized every two years with the attendance of worldwide professionals.
