LUCERNE FOODS is a wholly owned
subsidiary of Canada Safeway. The company operates one meat plant in
Calgary, Alberta, which specializes in beef fabrication, ground beef processing
and value-added beef products.
The plant began operations in 1973, and
has since expanded. With 16,000 square meters of operating space, it
processes over 120 million pounds of product annually.
Lucerne Foods supplies over 200 Safeway retail stores across Western Canada. |
